The delegate of Singapore beleives that the UN should fund research programs for water filtration. With all the other water sources depleting, the world will have to filter the remaining water sources and the ocean.

the UN also should build water pumps in hot springs and supply to companies.

Many countries are already funding research programs for water filtration, like Singapore for example who commits huge amounts of funds into developing its national filtration system and it boosts one of the safest tap water in the world. The main focus of UN, however, is to provide humanitarian aid to those who need water. Most of the UN funds go to building water supplies, such as wells and water pumps in LDCs. While research is important, it is imperative that we get to those that lack adequate access to water.

The hot spring water pump idea may not be very feasible as not many countries have hot springs. Furthermore, water from hot springs contain high amounts of minerals that the human body cannot consume. Let's be careful in suggesting ideas. But the chair applauds delegates and their ideas! Very Happy
