The Delegation of Namibia believes that the hunger problem is the most fundamental issue on which several other problems, such as the lack of education, are build on top of. Therefore we need to tackle the hunger problems in LEDCS in order to improve education standards.

The question is not whether or not to tackle these problems. The Russian Federation believes that all (benevolent) nations would agree that it would, of course, be ideal for LEDCs to achieve educational parity with other nations.

The question is how the United Nations would go about resolving this problem.
